DrawingThese sessions teach various skills, styles and exercises such as drawing from imagination and intuition, working with line, scale and perspective, using different mediums including inks, charcoal, etc. Physically, it's a great way to exercise hand-to-eye co-ordination, which is something that can improve the more we practice. Emotionally and mentally, drawing allows us to express thoughts and ideas onto paper.
Layered DrawingI developed this technique over the course of my MA. Line drawing, composition and collage are combined with tracing paper and acetate to produce layers of 2D images which, when photographed or scanned can give a sense of depth, mystery and the uncanny. I guide participants (people of all ages have engaged with this) through my methods to produce their own layered drawings.
